Hi WPers,
We would like to compile ideas and tips for deciding on the menu for your wedding day for an upcoming newsletter.
What we would like to ask you is if you can tell us what your menu will be and why you picked the dishes you did.
Can you also let us know the time of day your guests will be eating, where you wedding will be, and what time of year (as all these things probably affected your choices).
If you are comfortable mentioning price per setting that would great.
Can you also let us know how you decided on your caterer. Did you get to sample different dishes etc?
Any other info or suggestions on picking a caterer would be fantastic. Basically anything to help inspire other b2b/h2bs!
Thanks.

Hi this is what we had for our wedding on July 22nd this year. We decided to have a multipul choice for our guests as not everyone likes the same thing, we gave ourselves plenty of time to collect everyones choices and the hotel was happy to work with us on that. Also it made a good way of getting the RSVP's back quick for the day!!
We tried to choose a diffent kind of meat and also give a vegetarian choice too.
We got married at 2pm and are only 20mins drive from the church to our hotel. we thought 2-3pm service, 3-3.30 photos at church, arrvie at the hotel for about 4pm have a few more photos and then sit down for the meal around 4.30pm. We thought by then everyone would be hungry and didin't want to eat to late.
When looking through the prices of the meals we picked we estimated around 35 pounds per head for the 4 course meal.
We didn't get to have a choice on the caterers as we were in a hotel so you have to have them for the food. It was fantastic so I'm not complaining in any way, the only thing I wished we had been offered was a sample meal from the hotel to taste the food, as I know friends did from their hotal's, but you live and learn. I think you have to request that!!!
Hope this helps anyone.xxxxxxxx
